I’m Colin, a career and product coach passionate about helping professionals take charge of their career growth and building strong product development strategies. Over the past eight years at TELUS, I’ve built a diverse career leading digital product strategy, marketing campaigns, and launching major e-commerce initiatives like Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This experience provided me the opportunity to lead a diverse portfolio of eight ecommerce products across home internet, TV, security, and consumer health industries. Along the way, I’ve also shaped culture—onboarding 200+ new team members and leading content that strengthened TELUS’ digital brand.

Beyond corporate life, I’ve dedicated myself to teaching and mentorship. As a Lead Instructor at BrainStation, I’ve trained dozens of aspiring product managers through hands-on product creation, go-to-market strategies, and practical frameworks. Many of my students have successfully transitioned into tech and advanced in their careers.

Entrepreneurship has also been a big part of my journey. While studying at BCIT, I co-founded BCIT JDC West, a case competition program, and launched an award-winning financial literacy project with Enactus. I later became Program Director at Startup Skool, leading a team of six that taught over 200 students across UBC, SFU, and Red Academy how to build and pitch their own businesses.

Along my journey, I’ve had the privilege of serving on the Board of Directors at ProductBC, led Training & Development as Assistant Restaurant Manager at McDonald’s Canada, learning the art of hospitality at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, and coaching others to develop their communication skills as President of the Toastmasters BCIT Chapter. Each experience shaped how I lead, teach, and coach today.

What ties all of this together is my passion for coaching and empowering others. I know the challenges of advocating for your own career in a competitive world—because I’ve navigated them myself. My approach is practical, encouraging, and rooted in real-world experience.
